To support a better work-life balance and create Fraunhofer-wide standards, the Fraunhofer Family Logo was created and rolled out in a pilot phase to Fraunhofer institutes that have especially family-friendly policies in place. This seal of quality is awarded to institutes that offer outstanding working conditions to their employees through flexible working hours, customized childcare options and extensive support during parental leave and reentry into the workforce. The Family Logo is aligned with external standards such as audit berufundfamilie. It covers six key topics that provide optimum support for work-life balance.
