Science Policy in Germany

The Science Policy Department is assigned to the Presidential Division of the Fraunhofer-Geselschaft's headquarters in Munich. The position within the headquarters guarantees close coordination with the Executive Board and other specialized departments as well as the various Fraunhofer-Groups, Alliances and Institutes. These internal stakeholders are kept up to date on recent political developments, particularly on matters and positions of strategic pertinence for Fraunhofer research. Our cooperation and networking across departments and the whole organization promotes a unified public image of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft within the political sphere.
