Fraunhofer Groups

The Fraunhofer institutes are organized in groups devoted to specific broad research areas. Their purpose is to coordinate work on related fields of research within the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, to pool essential resources in core disciplines, and to present a unified image in the marketplace. The chairmen of the groups and the Executive Board together form the Presidential Council of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
